NEW YORK--(BUSINESS WIRE)--May 10, 1999--DualStar Technologies
Corporation (Nasdaq: DSTR) announced today that The Trump Organization
has awarded four DualStar subsidiaries an unprecedented "bundled"
contract to install the mechanical, high and low voltage electrical,
computerized building automation and information technology
(IT)/telecommunications systems at the planned Trump World Tower. This
innovative building will be located at 845 United Nations Plaza on
Manhattan's Upper East Side. Trump World Tower is projected for
completion in the Spring of 2001.
DualStar's bundled contract for over $33 million--for the world's
tallest residential condominium--involves the company's traditional
and leading-edge building construction subsidiaries. The contract
includes all heating, ventilating and air conditioning contracting;
high and low voltage electrical contracting; fully integrated and
automated building management systems (BMS); and installation of the
cutting-edge IT/telecom cabling plant and infrastructure systems.
DualStar's mechanical and electrical subsidiaries will augment and
implement designs by I.M. Robbins P.C. and National Security Systems,
Inc.
DualStar's CyberServices subsidiary, DualStar Communications,
Inc., is supplying its proven CyberBuilding(R) system to Trump World
Tower. The company's innovative CyberBuilding infrastructure supports
high-speed Internet, enhanced telephony and direct broadcast satellite

are respectively New York market leaders in residential HVAC and

Integrated Controls Enterprises, Inc. (ICE)--the fourth DualStar
Technologies' participating subsidiary--specializes in computerized
building automation systems for commercial and residential high-rises.
ICE will provide Trump World Tower's BMS and related systems by
installing a fully integrated BACnet building management system
manufactured by AutomatedLogic Corporation.
For individual apartment air conditioning control,
Centrifugal/Mechanical will take further advantage of World Tower's
CyberBuilding capabilities. This DualStar mechanical contractor will
offer remote air conditioning control--via Touch-tone telephone--so
that individual Trump World Tower owner/residents may adjust their
home comfort at a distance.
According to DualStar Technologies' vice president and chief
financial officer, Robert Birnbach, aggregating the contracts also
earned The Trump Organization a significant discount. "By performing
all of this key work through a coordinated use of resources--instead
of just trade by trade--DualStar was able to pool its risk and its

bundled contract at a meaningful discount below the cost of
contracting for each service individually."
