Hey Tobin,
I think, or more accurately, feel this next week will be a big one. LA will probably bring about some unexpected developments. The stock has weathered pressure from unfriendly MMs, short sellers and a general market and internet index malaise.
I would like to see the LA TV show too but my common sense tells me that this is not the push that will send us flying. It is simply marketing the product and while necessary should not be looked on as messianic in proportions. The real news is in the subtle buildup in partnerships and internet relationships.
I see that MP3.com has come out and announced an IPO. The technology is slowly gaining acceptance by the music industry who will be forced to find a way to adapt to the changing paradigm in the way people entertain themselves. The music industry has a history of adapting to social pressures on the industry and orchestrating a way to capitalize on the change. I am guessing the resulting change will be beneficial for Cool and that the technology will be embraced.
I am happy with my investment in Cool but am getting worried in one respect: I think I am in danger of "getting married" to this stock!
I like the story and the potential and am very optimistic. I like the way the company has carried out the plan and I like the fact they have the courage and decency to emphasize 'family" entertainment.
Regards,
Dan
