U.S. to Send 3,000 Psychologists to Europe

Could the crisis in the Balkans have been averted years ago? Did Milosevic show any warning signs as a teenager that he would grow to become a genocidal ethnic cleanser? American psychologists think the answer to these questions is yes. Menusha Narcis, a psychologist who is part of a team preparing to move to Europe in order to help prevent European teens from growing into third-rate racist dictators, said, "We don't believe that it's a coincidence that the worst dictators known to man have all come from Europe. We feel that the reason for this is the fact that Europeans have done a poor job of building the self-esteems of their youths. Our goal is to help European governments prevent any further dictators from rising to power by establishing effective self-esteem building strategies."

3,000 U.S. psychologists plan to move to Europe in a humanitarian effort to help raise the self-esteems of European youths. Another psychologist who has already packed his bags said, "We plan recreate the model that has been established in the U.S. by banning prayer in the schools, limiting parental authority, emphasizing diversity, and spending years teaching conflict resolution techniques. In order to make this program successful, Europeans will have to sacrifice school time that would have normally been used to teach such outdated concepts as reading, writing and mathematics. We feel that preventing the next Hitler or Milosevic from ever coming to power is more important than traditional academics. European students will never know the difference anyway. If they are anything like American students then they'll have such high self-esteems that it won't matter that they can't read or solve basic math problems."

The program has been dubbed "Operation Bright Future" and is funded by U.S. tax dollars. When BNN asked Clinton administration officials where the money was coming from to fund the program, White House Secretary Joe Lockhart said, "We have diverted funds from the 100,000 new police officers program and the 100,000 new school teachers program to help pay for Operation Bright Future."
