Stitch - sorry to reply so late, but just returned from a trip. I have also resumed using my other (real) name, as you can see. At any rate, I am sure that the U.S. will make some monetary amends to the families of diplomats, etc., as we certainly don't want to appear callous, even though it's a war. We need to stay friendly with the Chinese, for obvious reasons, and it seems that Clinton finally got through on the phone to Zhu Rongzhi, or however you say it, so they are speaking again! Anyway, I think it was 70% P/R, and 30% righteous indignation. It seems that all foreign countries love to take a shot at Uncle Sam, that rich international rogue, whenever possible.
