I think Merukh is history.

Did Merukh not file the Alberta case against Bre-X and PT Askatindo, plus others. IMO it will be diffucult for a Canadian court to judge on events that are taking place in another country and involving companies that not incorporated in Canada (Askatindo). The Alberta court will probably throw out the Merukh case.

If Merukh files a case in Indonesia, then he will have to deal with Suharto, Hassan, Freeport, Askatindo, Bre-X and others. Somehow I think this senario is unlikely.

Last weeks headlines indicating that he wishes to settle out of court, indicates to me he knows that he is in a no win situation.
