But Camelot is not first rate music OR lyrics. I suspect Edwarda would take issue with this statement. I believe that it is rather a subjective thing, but I prefer R&H to G&S. Should I have obtained the understanding from your message that the presentation in Seattle was your first exposure to Camelot? If so, I suggest that you acquire the soundtrack with Julie Andrews as Guinevere and give a listen. I saw Camelot again about two years ago with Robert Goulet as King Arthur and his son as Lancelot du'Lac. Very well done. But, as the wise Greek once said, "to each his urn"... Level Head
