Good Evening Les,

I have noticed posts on this and other threads about the threat of
inflation.. Honestly, I just do not see it. From food stuffs to to technology.

Went computer shopping, I can buy enough computer power
to launch a satellite for $2500.00. Bought a new digital message
machine for 30.00. Bought a new portable phone for 40.00. Granted I don't buy all the bells and whistles with this stuff, because I never use it, as I tend to be hard on the phone, as it lays on
fences outside, etc. as I am working..

We then went grocery shopping.. 20lbs of potatoes for 1.98.. Eggs
.98 for 18.. Hell, I sold eggs as a kid, back on the place in the late 50's for .50 a dozen.. bagels 2.25/dozen, milk 1.75 or so for a gallon. A wonderful calzone prepared fresh, at the deli, in front of our eyes, 4.98.(on sale) Talked to my brother, still back on the ranch, sure as hell been no inflation on Ags.. Hell IMO, the American people have no right to bitch about the cost of food, a TINY percent of their income.

Clothes, bought some nice flannel shirts, on sale at Macys for
around, I can't beleive ,10.00 , out of season clearance..

Spent a week in Palm Springs, for 1500. or so. Granted I don't golf or hang with the polyester crowd but we do have fun.. Buy a decent bottle of wine on sale for 6 or 7 bucks..

Talked with my friend, Friday afternoon who is still in the mineral exploration business, and I'm itching to get back.. Can't raise a
nickel for precious metal exploration.. When we had real inflation,
late 70's and early 80's, people were pouring money into exploration.. I know, because thats when I formed my exploration company, bailed in the early 90's... just in time.

Anyway, it's my personal observation, from the raw materials to the finished production.. Actually, IMO, DEFLATION is a bigger threat.
because of the rise in productivity, We will have to work off all
these goods..

Just my opinion.. and good luck all,

Coug
