I went to E3 on Friday and today mainly because I really like games but also so I could get a feel for 3DFX. Enclosed are some of my thoughts on what I saw. Hopefully others went also and can give their inputs. If people want more information ask and I will try to answer.
I own 3DFX stock but I also plan on buying an Nvidia Ultra TnT when it comes out to go in tandem with the Obsidian I already have.

There were two main halls at E3, the West Hall and the South Hall. The console guys were mainly in the West Hall and the PC guys were in the South Hall. The only two vendors in the main South Hall were 3DFX and Creative Labs. Matrix and Guillemot were in a small side area and ATI was in an RV across the street with G.O.D. and a couple other developers. I could not find Diamond or Nvidia any where at the show.

3DFX had a very big booth and it was constantly packed. They had maybe 10-12 stations set up each showing one of the new games there running on the Voodoo3 hardware. Almost every hour they also had a presentation by a major developer going into in-depth on their game and demonstrating it on a big-screen projection TV. When Green Marine of Unreal Tournament gave his presentation this afternoon there was over a hundred people sitting and standing in 3DFX booth watching it. I was very impressed by their presence at this show. The idea to have developers present 30-45 minute talks on their games and show them running on 3dfx hardware I think was brilliant. It really seemed to show to me that they were concerned with games and gamers. I saw presentations of Unreal Tournament, Messiah, and Homeworld at the 3dfx booth.
They also had on display the Voodoo 3500 AGP tv/vcr/tuner card. I was very impressed by the picture quality being displayed and it looked like a really neat product. I think they are going to sell alot of these if they can get them out the door.
