My comment re. the dsp cores was referring to the new generation of cores C6 and Sharc that allow for cost effective applications of dsp systems. The company had built there strategy around these chips. My intention is not to defend the company or its management. We all place our bets in the market based on our own dd. Mine suggest to me that despite the poor performance of the stock the company is and has continued to work hard to develop technology that is ahead of the curve. I like Pat bought SSPI with the notion that the future for dsp and dsp solutions companies is bright. That is why I bought TI at 40 when the analyst weere saying it was too big a risk betting on their new focus and why I spoke so highly of ADI when it was trading in low 20's. I expect that in the near future we will be able to look back at this as a period of opportunity, but that is why its a market somebody sells somebody buys. I still believe that Spectrum has the most innovative dsp engineers on the applications/system business. That segment of the dsp has yet to grow but it will IMO I am betting on it:)) Re. Bell and Howell: I don't recall mentioning them any more than any other of the announced projects but I am still opptomistic that USPS will go to full automation for sorting and that we will be part of their effort to compete in the digital age. If we and B&H get the USPS contract I would vieww that as a favorable recognition of SSPI 's technology.
