So you've essentially stated that criminals can go free until all the bills are paid??

There a other nations who's gov'ts also believe Milosevic is a criminal and are paid up on their UN dues. Should their wishes be ignored until the US resolves its conflict with the UN??

It's not like we don't have the money or anything. It's a matter of the UN advocating policies that are distinctly opposed by the US, such as federal funding for abortions.

And as you should know if you do the most cursory of research, the financial obstacle is not the White House, but the US congress. They control the purse strings and are unwilling to support bloated, non-effective gov't programs, let alone programs being advocated globally.

Then there's little matter about all those unpaid parking tickets UN officials have racked up in NYC. (Now who does or doesn't pay their bills??).

I'm a bit disappointed that you reduced the Kosovo issue to nothing more than a $1 billion greenbacks. Especially when the UN failed in its mission of creating a framework for resolving the Kosovo problem (mainly due to the intransigence of China and Moscow.

Maybe you're more of a capitalist gold-digger than I originally believed.

Here's some more reading on the UN reforms being proposed:
