I'll be leaving town for two weeks in June, so there is an excuse not to have to turn to short-selling right there. See, I have an excuse. <g>
I'll post from Palm Springs or Newport Beach off and on, but not nearly as regularly as you have come to know. Market should be pretty boring then anyway. Going to see Star Wars at the Big Newport on their enormous screen in 70 mm with THX sound. . .that is where I saw original Star Wars in 1977 and was blown away. . .so it will be Nostalgic and cool at the same time. Kids spending a month or so with CA relatives. . . Wife hanging with her family and friends. . . I with mine.
Nashville's been cool, but it aint home.
We'll probably be visiting Vegas as well. . .gotta check out some of those new hotels.
We will take a second trip to see my folks in Ohio. . probably over Independence Day holidays, then spend some time in the Cleveland area. . . see the Indians play at Jones Field, check out amusement parks. . . Cedar Point, Geauga Lake, Sea World, Cleveland Institute of Art, fireworks displays, shows, R and R Hall of Fame and the "Flats", where about 50,000 people go each night during the summer to be entertained by about 40 rock bands performing in as many nightclubs. . Indoors, outdoors all along the docks . . . WAY cool for anyone that has never been there. . . when you see Drew Carey say the word "Ohio" on his lead-in. . that shot is on the flats.
Having played most every venue, school, church, arena, hall or field in the northern half of the state. . .I can tell you that those people LOVE to rock. . . the rock bands in Ohio have always been second to none. Sort of how jazz is in New York City. . . it's like it doesn't exist anywhere else. . . .what Nashville is to Country/songwriting or the Big Apple is to jazz. . . Cleveland is to Rock. . . hard to describe unless you've been there.
