The mare had a habit of slamming walls with her butt to try to intimidate any horses in adjoining stalls. When I built my stalls, on the two that were adjoining I sunk 4x6s 4 feet deep and filled the holes with concrete. 1 1/2 inch of wood on each side and filled the cavity with concrete. Double hog panels for screening at the top. When she slammed her big ass into that she didn't get the satisfying bang and shake.

Our horses are out everyday. During the real cold weather they get stalled at night. Our neighbors have Tennessee Walkers and they are always stalled. With the goofy shoes on they can't walk outside. I think that should be banned.
