When I wrote the XSNI piece, I figured it was simply an instructive chronicle. Look at the thread, look at the chart and speculate a little bit. Cramer made millions doing that. I didn't really expect the penny stock players to come forward and proclaim their virtue - and then turn around and try to say well yes, they are all junk anyway.

But if even one lurker or newbie reads all this and thinks twice before they buy a "mystery stock" then I have done my bit for the cause. And I hope a new crowd has been introduced to tigerinvestor.com. I will have a new - though less controversial - column up in a week or two.

I agree that anyone who shorted the first tier Nuts for long didn't "get it". I didn't "get it" about going long in the Nuts for about a year, so I missed out on a lot of money. Now I have found a balance I like, holding very small positions in the leading Nuts and letting them grow through splits. I won't broke if they all get cut in half tomorrow.
