jack - first of all, this is the SDLI thread. Lets give them some respect and discuss SDL here, not UNPH.

Second - I do not know nor do I care to take the time to research every patent UNPH has. I know they own or control hundreds of them. As I've repeatedly stated on many threads, patents and technology are NOT what drives most technology businesses. They are very important to be sure, but the main determinent of success is marketing, distribution, customer service and providing your customers a visible design roadmap. My comments on barriers to entry due to years of qualifications still holds, but to keep the business and continue growing, you have to build ongoing relationships and deliver on every promise you make.
