Six is too many. Four is. Two is okay. None is okay. It is MJ, who takes in the strays, cries if I throw shoes at them, says she "can't take" being mean to them. "It causes me stress," she says.

I can't change her.

If I did, she might get rid of me.

It is a long, long drive to Oregon. I guess I will have to fly there, sometime. Is it far, too far to Texas? LA?
