What really matters joe is the bottom line in terms of profits and the effect upon the diamond market. Do you think that De Beers is drilling on Victoria Island because it is close to infrastructure and has huge tonnage like Fort a la Corne?
I would suppose the tax structure would be similar at Victoria Island and Snap Lake.

The tonnage seems to be there at Snap Lake. If the grade and value are confirmed in the bulk there will be no question about the economics. And if you think that 25 billion dollars worth of rough diamonds is not something to think about, multply by four for the value of cut and polished!

Yearly world trade in rough diamonds is about 4 billion per year.
If Snap lake produced 2.5 billion dollars per year of top quality goods for 10 years--well you figure it out.
