LindyBill, any good news on the DOJ-MSFT issue will likely be met with a panic rush to get back in the stock resulting in an almost instantaneous price increase. By the time we hear about it, the majority of the move will be over, at least short term. I can't see any way to predict the outcome of the litigation, except that with delays and appeals it's likely to be long time before the cloud is 100% gone. It's interesting that the problem as you see it is entirely the DOJ. MSFT showed positive relative strength from 10/98 until the end of March, despite the litigation. I'm tempted to nibble at MSFT if it gets down to 73 or so, on the basis that even the feds aren't stupid enough to want to destroy a national treasure. OTOH, maybe I'm giving too much credit to a Clinton DOJ. <<g>>
Hey, I hope you have a long chain to go with the zoot suit. Since we are the same age, we may be some of the few on SI to have actually seen people wearing zoot suits as their everyday wear. I lived in New Orleans during the early 1940's and as I remember they weren't that common even then.
