Yes I have. The 9999 default can cause problems. The fact is that no one knows what the future holds where Y2K is concerned. I am aware of the fact that the US has been very active in ensuring that the Russian missile program does not go down and launch thinking it had failed due to a missile strike. The overseas problems will get sorted out and I understand that we are stockpiling strategic reserves enough to get by for 3 months while the major problems if any are addressed. An interesting story is that the Chinese have ordered their China Airlines Executives to fly on Jan 1st.
Another interesting story is the possibility that computer hackers will play havoc on 1/1/2000. Just for fun!!! I hope not.
