<<I read the Intuit thread (when someone posts) and they are constantly deriding Intuit for the bad customer service. >>

IMO Intuit is a rip off company. I had a bad experience with them and will avoid doing business with them in the future. In November 98 I purchased the new version of Quick Books Pro for my business. The program had the state tax tables disappear unless you undated them within one or two months after registration. They supposedly gave you one free upgrade with purchase of the software. IMO this is like saying now that you have purchased the software we will make it work for free. It is a very long story how I was frustrated each step of the way trying to load the latest version of the tax table. All along the way, Intuit tried to hard sell me a yearly subscription for $35 or so to download the state tax tables. Finally I paid $10 to obtain a CD disk by mail (after about a months wait)

What a joke only a few items will change in the state table per year. The table could be easily made user modifiable. The whole purpose of Intuit in this case appears to be to sell subscriptions, it has nothing to do with providing a good product at a fair price. I say to hell with that no good, rip off company. I will not buy Quicken or Quick Books again.

Getting the free upgrade from Intuit reminded me of when you try to unsubscribe from AOL or P they do not make it easy only it was worse in the Intuit case.

Regards,

Wingman
