Demosthenes - Who p**d in your Wheaties? <g> Gottfried was asking the perfectly sensible question 'If we are scared both when Asia crashs and when they do well, should we just make life simpler and be scared all of the time?' BTW - Although I think Asia bears watching in regards to its effects on US inflation, Asia bottomed long ago and yet inflation did not rear its head once Asian prices stopped falling. IMO, we are seeing more than just an Asian induced environment. Clark PS I agree that Rubin was pretty non-specific in his recent statements, so I'm not sure I'd bet too much on any short term interpretation of them.
