I should have said the Treasury Dept., With regards to Greenspan, I think he's been forced into the job of bubble maintenance by the galactic ultra greed of the investment community who've leveraged with derivatives to the point where normal corrections can expand into economic chaos (Read LTCM, JP Morgan, Chase Manhattan just for starters). Maybe he stays on because he knows his exit can be a trigger which pops this bubble, maybe he loves his job <g> WDIK?
