>> A LITTLE extra??

William. I have a dilemma of the "little extra" type. I just read a news item that New Holland might acquire Case Equip for about $60/sh. I have mentioned a few times I hold Case shares. By the way I also bought those at distressed level ($18 to 20 /sh) six months ago.

Again this buyout is just luck. But if a stock is trading below book value at a p/e under 10 and making $hundreds of millions every year, is it just luck ? I think the net stock buyers make fun of cement heads, but I bet a million dollars again that there was much less risk buying case than any of the net stocks. For me anyway.

The dilemma is whether to sell tomorrow or wait for the deal to formalize. As usual I will take my profit, and let someone else hold for the little extra.
