Greenspan is in a tough spot. I suspect he loathes current valuations but also realizes that the US economy is the only thing floating the world's boat. The nascent recovery in Asia is tenuous at best with Japan on life support. He will pop the balloon at some point, but I'm sure he doesn't want to until Europe and Asia can haul some the freight. The problem for him is, the higher our market goes, the nastier it will be when the pin hits the latex.
