The best way to buy a car is to write a dozen letters to sales managers at a dozen dealerships. . with all specs and extras of your car. . .and tell them you will buy the best bid you receive by a given date.

When you get your handful of bids, take the best price and send a second letter to the losing bidders telling them the current low bid.

Your next set of bids should have one that is at or near the lowest you will find. Compare that to Sam's Club's price for same car and buy the lowest one.

You won't believe it, but this works for apartment complexes as well. . .I did that with a half dozen apartment complexes [a long time ago] that were bidding down my rent to get me to stay there.

Remember that YOU are the consumer and the money being spent is YOURS.

Now, as for DJS. . .I don't like that there is no bidding. . . you tell them what you want, they give you a set price and that's it.

Thanks for the news alert tho.
