Well, not necessarily. Unlike we computer experts (or geeks, if you like) there are still quite a few people who are new computer users. They have heard about things like WordPerfect, Windows, spreadsheets and the like, but could use a bit of help sorting out the hype from something that they will actually be able to use, and be productive with it. If you are producing TV ads for showing, say, during football games, you have to understand your target audience. It's not going to be the same as targeting the IS or purchasing manager in a good sized company. Maybe Prof. Cobden has no use for an office suite. Or maybe he would think about buying one if an ad tweaked his interest instead of leaving him mystified.
