This is all a guess on my part. I normally do all my trading in blocks of 1,000 shares via the internet...however, on the "rare" occasion that I trade say 5,000 shares I call a special trading desk at Schwab and they "work" the trade to get the best price. I think these messages are therefore send out indicating that say Schwab has an investor wanting to move(buy or sell) a block of shares at a certain price. I think that they only do this when the amount is 5,000 or above. This 20,000 shares could have been one investor or it could have been 4 investors. Anyway, my early euphoria was short-lived this morning. I think this overall market is ready for a major shake-out, especially the recent high flying internets. Maybe we will get some of this money flowing into the biotechs......can always hope.(:>)
