K,
Good morning,
>>Hmmmmm, so what does this portend for CPQ if Ray Lane jumps ship at ORCL??? <ggg>
On the surface one would wonder; however, I think a consensus could easily agree that ORCL's problems a) in the past where prior to Lane's current reign and b) most recently, have largely had as much to do with Ellison as anybody. They are currently in a transition, as is CPQ, which is not near as dramatic, nor will last nearly as long as CPQ's. All of this is, of course, mute--as I see little or no chance that Lane will be the guy that emerges at CPQ.
Thanks for your updates on TLAB and MSFT. I agree with both (damn, I must be learning something) and avoided the urge to pick up TLAB on Fri. for 116. I am still trying to figure out a plausible reason for the MSFT flakiness. It has to be more than the DOJ mess, or else we are seeing a helluva sale.
Cheers,
