Johnathan, S3 virge on its price performance merits is awesome. Premedia, and 3Dfx are in a different price/performance points, this is why they will not find their way in ordinary PC's.

Regarding the installation of the dimond Multimedia's stealth: I also could not isntall the card in my system, because I could not override the hardware conflict of my base graphics accelerator on the mother board and the add on coard. This is inherent in Intel platforms, and compounded with Microsoft's conflict resolution in Windows 95. Unless you buy from a hardware manufacturer who has done extensive compatibility testing using different graphics cards, like compaq, you are bound to run to these problems. Diamond is also not an out fit known for excelent quality, they have too many customer returns and without much problem resolution, revolve their material back to the stores, after retesting. Diamond's verification testing could be improved.

On the same token I could not resolve the conflict between the 14.4 modem/sound card and the new 33.6 modem card I bought because of the same problem with windows 95. I had to return the Modem, because I did not want to buy a new sound card, I returned the Modem as well.

If you want to have no problem installing a hardware, buy an apple.
