Chuck, You stated: S3 virge on its price performance merits is awesome. This all depends on which dimension of performance you are considering. As far as 3D performance is concerned, both PC Magazine and Computer Gaming World have noted on multiple occasions that the Virge is an industry laggard. The performance testing I cited was conducted solely on the basis of 3D performance. I don't deny that the Virge provides excellent 2D performance for the price, but for individuals interested in 3D acceleration the Virge is not a good choice. DirectX3 "compliant" drivers do not function properly and 3D performance is poor. Jonathan
