ISDN will be around for a long, relatively, time. The telcos have WAY to much invested in it and so do the manufacturers. ADSL is a coming thing. That is the only way the telcos can fight off the cables. But, ISDN is here...now. And most important of all. It works really well, is a fast as most people need, and people for the most part understand it.

As an aside: Consider the speed issue. Most workstations on a LAN are capable of a simplex datastream of roughly 300Kbps. ISDN will give 128Kbps and even more with a good compression product. I have designed ISDN access to centralized FoxPro databases. (FoxPro is an xbase, that means it has REALLY chatty access) The app works great with only about a 20% performance hit using both B-channels vs. same LAN access.

Buy ISDN companies. You won't find any secrets but you will find companies that do it better than others. Better can mean high quality customer service, port density, feature set, product quality and availability. Some large companies are notorious for their lacking in some of these areas. I can't mention any names. Just Kid ding.

The remote access/telecommuting market has just BEGUN to explode.
