Being a registered used car dealer in California, I would have a very hard time buying a car at auction without seeing/driving the car, and if you don't...give me a call and let's do business. Would you buy a car from a car rental agency without seeing/driving it?...people can treat those cars very poorly. As for new cars, you have a new warranty etc., and presumably they are all alike...even though we all know that is not true...but a buyer has recourse back to the dealer/manufacturer. As for the rest of the model, I think the consumer will only use the net more and more for pricing/purchasing. bonne chance
