Seems like they've decided to hang a less esoteric shingle out front. For those who "don't know" Mining Co. does have allot of other connotations. Sure, it helps you dig through the morass of information on the web. But have you ever run a search on mining co? Comes up with all sorts of....well all sorts of mining companies. So the new push will probably be something like.... A person representing a specific demographic says "I want to know about <<fill in a topic>>....About.com, where you can find what you're looking for...or...What do you want to know about...About.com...where you can find what you're looking for. Clearer and more memorable for the uninitiated. No doubt anyone using the www.miningco.com will continue to be directed to the "new" location.
