Hi Stephen,
Wanting assurance that everything is on the up-and-up seems understandable for a shareholder in a speculative, entertainment industry stock, but not likely to be achieved.
The likelihood of achieving a response from the HQ on the issue of "formal policies" precluding unusual personal gifts, inappropriate non-production related services (Cabo penthouse rentals, bimbo's, Columbian snow, etc.) and other historical boondoggles (non-participants on the payroll) is directly proportional to the number of requests they receive.
If some group wanted me to invest in their development of a private hunting preserve, they would have to show me a written policies that ruled out (by immediate dismissal or exclusion)the use of artificial means to interfere with natural movement or typical location of game (i.e.: tying a mountain goat to a big rock, jack-lighting deer, releasing a fox 10' in front of some city-slicker with a sawed-off shotgun, etc.). Actually, I don't hunt - I'm a bass-guy; i.e.: no nets, no dynamite and catch-and-release = fair play.
If Cataldo means business; then an explanation/statement of accounting procedures, yes-&-no policies, professional purchasing practices by bids/quotes and PO's, clear tracking methods for all costs of any kind, etc., should be a no-problem/non-issue.
Likewise, a public introduction of the financial services and/or auditing firm(s), including the responsible principles therefor, should be equally a matter of ease.
If this information is not freely and promptly provided, then you have to ask yourself - why?.
I repeat my good wishes for this company, and for all the investors; regardless of their knowledge, status, or intentions.
To differentiate MVEE from any less-than-forthright firms that have come before it, and to protect any overzealous "..Newbies.." from squandering their whole allowance based on grossly biased, personally controlled, pseudo-official-appearing-websites, or general hype, I hope a considerable number of people will join in the demand for a clear disclosure of all general concerns from "..THE MAN.." at HQ.
Although most of us are aware that purchasing stock (generally) does not put any cash in the company's coffers (..hence you don't have a very big stick..); stockholder pressure and the possibility of voting various officers out-the-door does carry some weight.
Public scrutiny of a company's policies concerning honesty and fair-dealing will present no problem to an outfit that wants to be attractive to the Big Dogs.
If however, the CEO/PREZ comes across like a Slick Willie clone - what you see is what you get (got) (want to stay away from)!
