<<How about the absolute silence from Dan Niles. Being the most negative analyst on DELL, you would think he would have something to say today.>>

Mr. Niles from BBRS did speak up this morning. I just spent a while on First Call reading the many new comments on DELL. Over 90% are positive. Only BBRS and Salamon Smith Barney are not really recommending DELL at this time....

BBRS -- Niles says DELL will hit the numbers but due to DELL's high P/E and outlook he will maintain a "market perform" rating on DELL.

SSB -- DELL will meet or exceed expectations -- concerns about competitive pressures. Nuetral Rating and $30 price target. (These jokers haven't been right about DELL as long as I have been following the stock).

Check out some of the more bullish comments made this morning....

Dillon Read -- DELL (Buy) -- expect upside surprise in Rev. and earnings.

ING Barings -- DELL (Buy) -- expect solid Q1 report.

Merrill Lynch -- DELL (Buy) -- Solid Qtr. expected. Purity of DELL's B. model is attractive vs. hybrid models.

Cowen -- DELL (Buy) -- Expect solid Q1 report. Project 40% + rev. growth and management likely to be upbeat.

Soundview Financial -- DELL (Buy) -- Revenue of $5.675 Billion looks do-able. DELL is well positioned to capture upside for strong gov't spending for 2H99 for Y2K -effect. We continue to like DELL under $50.

Bear Stearns -- DELL (Buy) -- DELL should do it. There's no room for excuses this time, nor do we expect any. All of the stars appear to be properly lined up for DELL when the company reports Tuesday. We are expecting good things. Stay tuned.

---------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

Well, Many of the analysts seem to get it, IMO. This is as bullish as they have been on DELL going into earnings in A LONG TIME. I must sign off now and attend a meeting. Hope the comments help. I expect DELL to rise significantly in the next 2 weeks.

Best Regards,

Scott
