Why buy the DELLcow when the profitmilk is free ? Buy some LG Electronics

Seemed strange when LVG went to Korea and Taiwan a while back to visit IBM's newly contracted low cost PC assembly sites .

You know whuut ? here's whuut , LVG co-owns a factory with IBM in Korea .

Yup ... it's known as LG IBM:

" LG IBM, Kolon Data to Expand Business Partnership

May 11, 1999 (SEOUL) -- LG IBM and Kolon Data Communication Co., Ltd. forged a strategic alliance to expand their partnership in production and distribution of computers and printers.

Under the contract, both companies will jointly offer a new computer, called Netfinity Millennium, for the nation's small- and medium-sized companies to serve as a main information network. "

Unless of course the LG stands for LG Electronics , which it does , and probably the main reason DELL jumped at the IBM supply contract .

LG Electronics is a low cost assembler with worldwide distribution locations , but it looks like it is limiting its marketing to Korea .

Breathe easy DELL ! (at least until IBM gets enough profit out of the 6-year supply contract).
