[Edwarda -- This is getting dangerous for E. Out of concern for her, we must give up our planned tryst in the treehouse and adjourn to a safer location. E's psychiatrist is getting VERY concerned over her multiple personality disorder (now known as Dissociative Identity Disorder) symptoms, which are escalating out of hand. Not only does she believe that she is both E and a piece of canvas, now she is believing that she also has the persona of my friend and boyhood chum Bernie (who I can assure you from our having skinny-dipped together in the ol' swimming hole numerous times is neither a figment of anyone's imagination nor a woman in disguise). She is also fantasizing about being associated with Harvard, when we know (else her ankle bracelet would have alerted the police) that she has not been near Boston for years. Her psychiatrist was sufficiently concerned over these escalations of symptoms to violate patient-psychiatrist confidentiality and ask me to see whether we couldn't help poor E by moving our planned activities. Out of my deep concern for E I was happy to oblige, and I am sure you feel the same way. Now we can only hope E is able to recover by the time of the Solstice celebrations, since I so greatly value her participation and, when she is not having delusions of being a male burglar, she is a delightful person, with whom it is my great joy to share the deepest (and I DO mean DEEPEST) feelings of affection.
