Did they gain customers in the sense that people who were already buying books online switched to Amazon? Or did they gain customers because more people are buying books online in general? Are they taking customers away from buy.com and shopping.com? Or are they losing customers to them? How can you tell the difference? Oh, and Barnes and Noble just made the NYT bestseller list 50% off. I'm short them, too.
