Merritt, I'm going completely from memory, since it's been a couple of years since I've followed the blood substitute sector of the biotechs, but my recollection of NFLD is they're a low quality outfit. Add to that blood substitutes are one of the high-risk areas of biotech (with wound healing and sepsis making up the Biotech Bermuda Triangle <g>). I'd suggest caution when investing in these guys. There are a handful of worldclass biotech minds regularly posting on SI ... you could try looking around here for NFLD opinions, or look at Motley Fool's message boards (a couple of years ago there was some decent information there).
