Satellite Internet Access and Computer/set-top Box Device to Facilitate E-Commerce for Members

This new, yet unnamed, service will allow HouseHold Direct to deliver to their members a proprietary computer / set-top box or gateway product such as the newest EchoStar Communications Corp.'s (Nasdaq:DISH - news, DISHP news) satellite receiver, DISHPlayer, developed with Microsoft Corp. (Nasdaq: MSFT - news) WebTV Network(TM) Plus service for satellite. This gateway device will be connected to a television or regular monitor to facilitate Household's members' purchasing transactions. By utilizing satellite, HouseHold Direct will have the available bandwidth to be able to broadcast its offerings directly to members who can then interact with manufacturers to get the best price for goods and services. HouseHold Direct will also be able to offer hi-speed Internet access directly to the acquired membership base. This method of broadcasting content is more efficient and less costly than even Broadcast.com, Inc. (Nasdaq: BCST - news) due to their use of hi-speed digital lines.
