I'm not so sure about that. Personalization, or Internet Relationship Management as Vignette calls it, is also a big piece of what SILK does. SILK just happens to be focused on the ecommerce part in addition to the customization of the site to the user's needs. Vignette tracks user behavior once they arrive, SILK integrates user behavior into existing business models.

Even if you don't agree with my analysis I think we can agree that they are more similar than dissimilar.
