Mr. Verrill: Your angry objection to my note explains part of the problem.

You had a deal with ANI to test-distribute Roz's cookies at Kroger but they didn't move well. After the ANI connection fell apart you had the opportunity to go after the buyers at Kroger's, an inside track which a sharp salesperson would have taken advantage of.

(About those cookies: "This is but a test from Kroger and if successful, we would expect our relationship with Kroger to expand to encompass more of their (1200) stores nationwide.")

Kroger was actually impressed by the quality of the product and the displays, and might have "given you an opportunity" to sell your coffee had you courted them. Kroger was a prospect already familiar with Massimo's and an effort to place your coffee there might well have met with success. "Seattle's Best" got the deal. Why?

I don't know what you mean by "we were not given the opportunity".
Are you waiting for invitations from stores to market your products?
You make your opportunities. You don't wait to be "given" them.
