What good guy scenario? I have yet to present any scenario at all, and I don't see any good guys on any horizon. Aren't you jumping to conclusions a bit here?

Anyone who thinks anything is ever blatantly obvious in Balkan politics is is playing reductio ad absurdem, a thoroughly profitless game.

What is your point, making the unlikely assumption that you have one?

Personally, I am not comfortable with intervention in the internal affairs of sovereign states. Neither am I comfortable with allowing sovereign states to commit atrocities against their own people. No rights there, only degrees of wrong. Faced with an analagous (but more severe) situation in Rwanda, we made the wrong choice. Here again, we make the wrong choice. My point is that there are no right choices; all we can do is try to execute whatever wrong choice we make as effectively as possible.

Since you seem determined to reduce to simplistic good guy-bad guy scenarios, who will you declare to be the good guy. Milosevic?
