Joint Venture to Bring PGA to Cuba

May 17, 1999

VANCOUVER, BRITISH COLUMBIA--Leisure Canada Inc. and PGA Golf
Management Ltd. (PGAGM) are pleased to announce that they have
signed a Letter of Intent to form a joint venture in Cuba.

PGAGM is a subsidiary company of the PGA of Great Britain and
Ireland, and was formed in 1992 to work throughout the world
providing development, operational and management consultancy to
the golf industry.

The agreement calls for the creation of a company, which will be
based in Havana and will have the objective of establishing
professional golf in Cuba using the experience of the PGA of Great
Britain and Ireland, the oldest Professional Golf Association in
the World. Leisure Canada Inc. will announce when the final
agreement has been completed. The company will also seek to
assist in the organization of amateur golf within the country.

Integral to the operation of the new Cuba golf company will be the
availability of development, operational and management services
which will be provided through the experience of PGAGM.
Merchandising of the brand and media rights are also included in
the agreement.

The company aims to make a significant contribution to the
development of golf as a sport by developing PGA academies which
will provide for the coaching and training of both amateur and
professional golfers. The company will be exclusively managed by
Leisure Canada Inc. who has many years of experience in the Cuban
marketplace.

"This agreement brings Cuba into the world of professional golf
and provides a large step forward in the development of Cuba as a
golf destination", says Walter H. Berukoff, Chairman of Leisure
Canada Inc.
