Denis/Dave/John, I'm responding because, since part of one of my posts was quoted, I guess I've been put into the "tail dragger"/"new neighbor" category. Don't know about the former, but you could say I'm a "new neighbor" having only held IPM since last spring -- not nearly as long as some. Had no idea I was offending this many folks. Also had no idea that this is an "us vs. them" thing. Since I have positions in IPM and MXAM and CHIP, an us vs. them mentality could be dangerous to my mental health.
Chuc mentioned (and I agree) that there may be some synergism here. Can it be bad that MXAM has verified gold less than two clicks south of BRX? Sounds like a welcome confirmation to me.
Dave, as for IPM being first let me ask you from whom they acquired the property? From whom did MXAM acquire their adjacent property? Who is the head of MXAM? I think you'll see the same name coming up; hint, it starts with an "R".
Don't know if it is possible, but would it be such a bad thing for either company if IPM and Maxam cooperated? They're not in a horsepower race, y'know.
For my part I'll be happy to see IPM "break away". Hell, I'd be happy to see *any* of the DD's break away -- but especially IPM or Maxam, or even Chip !
Sorry for any offense; none intended.
O. H.
