i wish i would learn how to cut and paste more efficiently. the wirl is under news 4/27. they used VoIP (protocol) utilizing MMDS/WCS to test transmitting voice, data, video etc. the iowa project was part of the government program to provide better rural access. various technologies were used i believe (CISCO, VERILINK,WTT supplied test equipment) the best part is it was partially government funded. there is also fed money available under this provision to supply service to rural areas. the info i believe was teknet about a month ago during the CWSS acquisition.
