Wow, go to check the DGIV thread and there are 116 new ones... that hasn't happened in a while.... And then I read the posts and see some old friends coming out of the woodwork -- hi Grand-Mere, hi Brooke -- who else popped out -- Hi Salmon. Just got home from a ballgame...we got creamed....and my hand got creamed....second time this has happened to me now...first time got a couple pins in my hand....guess I'll find out tomorrow what this time gets me.....(dislocated my ring finger, and our resident nurse put it back for me.....that hurt like heck...maybe broke it too...has the makings of a breaking in one place).... I not only told you this story to get a little pity but also to make a point....I've just gotta' remember what it was....oh yeah....why do I keep playing this silly game....softball.....the reason resembles the reason I still hold DGIV.....I told myself a long time ago, long before DGIV that I was gonna' play this game until I hit one out -- (on the men's field -- 290 feet plus fence height)... I've come close a number of times -- one-hopped the fence many times -- hit the fence in the air a couple... and one day...when the wind is right....and the swing is right....and the night is right...I'm gonna hit one out....(although the current condition of my hand will probably keep that day from being anytime real soon)....and the reason I still hold DGIV is that I'm waiting for them to hit one out....(I know they've had there share of pins and needles, but I still believe -- in them and in me.....
