I said the gov't in Bejing has no legitimacy since it is not freely elected.

China is a country, not a political system.

And Chiang was a despot. But the difference is that Taiwan now has free elections and popular participation in politics, thus proving once more the theory that there is a difference between authorian and totalitarian regimes.

We still don't see that in Bejing.
