Maryann,

DELL - I'm with you. My big question here is the timing of this release... Piper Jaffray must not like the fact that DELL went up today and thretening to go up some more so they feel compelled to put out this article to throttle the price. They must have sold a lot of the covered calls ranging from 35's to 55's that have huge open interests... we're so close to the option expiry and they have to do something. Checking back, Piper Jaffray have last issued a downgrade on this stock from Strong Buy to Buy in November... they have pretty much left it alone since then. The screw is turning and it's getting tighter... this release if anything, is not even earnings related IMO, despite the main text. This is something that they have concluded a while back and they're releasing it to serve their needs to spook Mr Q Public... like that Smith Barney downgrade on AMAT. The FOMC meeting anxiety must not have achieved their expected reaction... hence this scare tactic.

It's sickening!

Oh well!
