I don't disagree with your conclusions as far as e-tailers (AMZN, BYND, EGGS, etc) go, but there are plenty of people who will do well in the internet area. Advertisers such as DCLK and ADFC should do well. Suppliers of specialized software and hardware such as RNWK or CSCO will also do well. Key sites that can hold on to eyeballs may fare OK as well, though I am less certain of this.

A more interesting question is what non-internet companies will suffer from competition from the web? Catalogs will obviously suffer big time. Some conventional retailers may suffer as well such as book stores and toy stores. My wife now buys most expensive toys for the kids off the web, for example. How about owners of commercial real estate? Will web sales drive down real estate prices?
