I think DELL cracked down on the leaking information to the analysts.
This should only be done by the management team in charge.

Ashok Kumar sounds almost bitter. He and Niles seemed to be getting inside information and now it looks like the source(s) have been eliminated. I believe that this sort of leak is actually illegal. But then I am not a lawyer.

So the analysts are going with pro forma projections and really do not have a clue about what the real results are going to be. All they have is a rather large range of possibilities.

This Y2K lockdown story is a spin which will no longer work with anyone that has listened to the conference calls.

These analysts are working agendas.
